January 2008 – I’ve never really been the kind of person to go somewhere and just lay on the beach and soak up the sunshine. It seems, in most places I’ve traveled to, I’ve always found some way to keep busy by running around, exploring and doing “stuff”. This trip to Aruba was different. On this trip, I stayed pretty quiet and close to the Hyatt resort, taking advantage and enjoying the pool, the beach, the sun, the food, the drinks and the people


Besides the “refreshments” and the daily allotment of sun and lounging by the pool, I did take the time to go snorkeling and do a little shopping in town.


Of course, I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to get the occasional photo. Some of the local wildlife was quite cooperative in posing for a quick shot too. Couldn’t get any shots of the frigate birds in town or the brown-throated parrots though.
