Winner of Maryland Black Bear Conservation Stamp Contest
Judged before a crowd at the 24th
Patuxent Wildlfie Art Show on March 24, at the National Wildlife
Visitors Center in Laurel, Md., Steve Oliver from Delaware County,
PA, won the 17th Annual Maryland Black Bear Conservation Stamp
Contest with his painting, Morning Stroll. This 7" by 10"
acrylic painting of a single black bear taking a walk along a
riverbank was chosen from qualifying entries submitted by artists
from Maryland, Tennessee, South Carolina, New York, Georgia,
Kentucky, Illinois, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. This is the
5th time Steve has won this award since the contest began in
